Gantrex Secures Project Win for Port of Limburg in Belgium

Gantrex has recently secured a significant project with the Port of Limburg in Belgium. This project will see us supplying and installing a crane rail system at the new 24-hectare inland harbor located in Genk.

The Port of Limburg, strategically positioned along the Albert Canal on the former Ford site in Genk, is set to transform container terminal operations. This facility will focus on container handling and transport, offering a total capacity of 353,000 TEU, making it one of the most advanced inland terminals in the region .

As part of this ambitious project, Gantrex will deliver and install a comprehensive crane rail system tailored for the two new RMG barge cranes of the Port of Limburg. Our scope of work includes the supply and installation of 786 meters of A100 type rail, fastened on 262 steel plates using 2620 RailLok W15 clips, along with 792 meters of RailLok MK9.0 Pads and 27,600 kg of Gantrex C35 Cement-Based Grout.

The collaboration between Gantrex and the Port of Limburg highlights our commitment to excellence and innovation in the field of crane rail systems. We are proud to be entrusted with this groundbreaking project and are dedicated to ensuring its successful completion. The Port of Limburg is slated to commence operations by 2025, and we are honored to play a pivotal role in its development.
